⚠️ **Road Weather Update — NC & VA**
**North Carolina Outer Banks:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected through **6 AM EDT** around Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Hatteras Island Fishing Pier. Thunderstorms have dropped **3–6 inches of rain**, with another **1–2 inches possible**. **NC 12 near Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge** is prone to flooding, and deep water may be difficult to see at night. Do not drive through flooded roads, underpasses, or low-lying areas.
**Southwest/West-Central Virginia:** A Flood Advisory remains in effect through **7 AM EDT** for Floyd and Franklin counties, including near Ferrum, Check, Endicott and Terrys Fork. Heavy thunderstorms have produced **1–2 inches of rain**, with water possible over roadways and in poor-drainage or low-lying areas.
