**Road-Weather Update: Severe storms and flooding affecting travel tonight**
**Arizona:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected near Cedar Bench Wilderness in Yavapai County, with 2–3 inches of rain reported near Chasm Creek south of Camp Verde. Washes, creeks, underpasses and roads may flood; dirt roads could become impassable. Warning expires **10:15 PM MST**.
Along **SR-288 between mile markers 294 and 311** near Young and Pendleton Mesa, 1.75–3 inches of rain has fallen in the Cherry Creek drainage. Flooding runoff remains dangerous through **9:45 PM MST**. Do not cross low-water crossings or flooded pavement.
Near Wickenburg, a severe thunderstorm moving west at 20 mph may produce **60 mph wind gusts** through **9:15 PM MST**, including along **US 60 between mile markers 99 and 113**. Expect possible tree debris and hazardous crosswinds.
Central Mohave County, including Diamond Creek Campground and Peach Springs, has minor flooding and potentially impassable low-water crossings through **9:30 PM MST**.
**Ohio:** Severe thunderstorms are producing **60 mph winds**, torrential rain and possible flash flooding around McArthur and Zaleski through **12:15 AM EDT**. Additional storms may bring 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail around Athens, Nelsonville, Glouster, Chesterhill and Chauncey through **12:30 AM EDT**. Avoid flooded roads, watch for downed trees and slow down for poor visibility.
**Iowa:** A severe storm moving southeast at 30 mph may bring **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** near Shenandoah, Coin, Blanchard and College Springs through **11:45 PM CDT**. Seek a safe place off the road if hail or damaging winds arrive.
**South Dakota:** Northern Campbell County, including Pollock and Herreid, faces a severe storm with **60 mph wind gusts and half-dollar-size hail** through **11:45 PM CDT**. Be alert for vehicle-damaging hail and wind-blown debris.
