Hammer Down Road Report

**Southeast Wisconsin Road-Weather Update:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting the Kenosha–Racine area, including Kenosha, Racine, Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Prairie and Sturtevant, through 12:15 PM CDT. Storms are moving east at 40 mph with wind gusts up to 60 mph, penny-size hail and torrential rain that may quickly flood roads.

Flooding is also expected across the Milwaukee, Racine and Waukesha areas—including Milwaukee, West Allis, New Berlin, Greenfield and Oak Creek—through 1:45 PM CDT. An additional 1 to 1.5 inches of rain may cause flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas.

Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, watch for downed trees or debris, and never drive through flooded roadways—turn around, don’t drown. Check local conditions before traveling.
