**Road-weather update:** Severe storms are creating dangerous driving conditions across Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and western New York.
– **Northeast Ohio:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected through **6 PM EDT** around Painesville, Willowick, Chardon, Fairport Harbor and Euclid. Another 1–2 inches of rain is possible after 1–2 inches already fell. Expect flooded streets, underpasses, low-lying areas and highways—**turn around, don’t drown.**
– **Cleveland-area storms:** Severe thunderstorms moving east at **45 mph** may produce **60 mph wind gusts** through **2:45 PM EDT** from Cleveland and Euclid toward Mentor, Chardon and nearby communities. Fallen trees, power lines, sudden downpours and flooded roads are possible.
– **Toledo and northwest Ohio:** Storms near Oregon/Toledo and across parts of Lucas and Wood counties may bring **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **2:15–2:30 PM EDT**. Slow down, avoid driving beneath trees, and watch for debris or downed lines.
– **Broader region:** A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until **9 PM EDT** for much of Ohio, western and central Pennsylvania, northern/central West Virginia, and western New York, including Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Akron, Youngstown, Parkersburg and surrounding areas.
