Former VP Faces Prison for Lying About Hazardous Waste Dumping
A Lockport, New York, man has pleaded guilty to lying to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency investigators about his company’s role in the dumping of a large quantity of hand sanitizer classified as hazardous waste in Niagara Falls.

The defendant, identified in court records as Hale, was a former vice president of the company involved in the waste disposal operation. Prosecutors said he knowingly provided false information to EPA investigators examining how the material was abandoned.

Potential Prison Sentence
Hale faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 22, 2026.
