**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
– **California:** A dangerous dust storm is affecting west-central Imperial County, including **CA 78, CA 111 and CA 86** near Brawley and Westmorland. Visibility may drop below a quarter mile with winds over **50 mph**. The dust wall is moving north at 20 mph; warning remains in effect until **5:15 PM PDT**. Avoid driving into dust; if caught, pull completely off the road, turn off lights and keep your foot off the brake.
– **Florida & Georgia:** Heavy thunderstorms are causing flash flooding in eastern Baker and southwestern Nassau counties, FL, and in Coffee and Jeff Davis counties, GA, including near Snipesville and Denton. **2–3 inches** of rain has fallen, with another **1–2 inches** possible; flooding may cover streets, highways, underpasses and low-lying roads through **10:45 PM EDT**. Additional roadway flooding is possible around Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres and Southwest Florida Airport through **9:30 PM EDT**.
– **Virginia:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected around Urbanna, Saluda, Glenns, Cooper and Clancie in parts of Gloucester, King and Queen, and Middlesex counties. Rainfall rates of **2–3 inches per hour** are possible, with up to **1–3 additional inches** through **9:30 PM EDT**. Watch for flooded roads, creeks and underpasses.
– **North Carolina:** Severe thunderstorms near Laurinburg, Rockingham, Hamlet, Maxton and Hoffman are moving east at **15 mph**. Expect wind gusts up to **60 mph**, nickel-size hail and torrential rain through **8:30 PM EDT**. Slow down, avoid tree-lined roads, and never drive through flooded pavement.
– **New Mexico:** Heavy rain in north-central Socorro County may flood arroyos, small streams and low-water crossings, including portions of **US 60 east of Bernardo**, through **8:30 PM MDT**. Some crossings may become impassable.
