**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
🌧️ **Texas:** Flash flooding is ongoing or imminent around **Amarillo and Palo Duro Canyon** in Potter and Randall counties. **1–4 inches of rain** has fallen, with up to **1 additional inch** possible. Flooding may affect highways, streets, underpasses, and low-lying areas. Warnings expire around **noon–12:30 p.m. CDT**. The **Rio Grande near Castolon** is also expected to rise above flood stage, with possible flooding along **River Road and roads to Cottonwood Campground** through this afternoon.
🌊 **Iowa:** Major flooding continues along the **Wapsipinicon River near De Witt**, affecting Scott and Clinton counties; water affects **old U.S. Highway 61** near the river. Flooding along the Iowa River near **Wapello and Oakville** is also affecting secondary and county roads, with some roads underwater and closed. Conditions may persist from tonight into early next week.
🌧️ **New Mexico:** Flooding continues across parts of Lincoln, Curry, Roosevelt, and Chaves counties, including **Roswell, Clovis, Portales, Dexter, and Hagerman**. **2–6 inches of rain** has fallen, with rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying roads affected. The warning is in effect until **11:30 a.m. MDT**.
**Driving safety:** Never drive through floodwater or around barricades—turn around, don’t drown. Avoid flooded roads, underpasses, riverbanks, and low-lying routes, and follow local closures.
