– **New Mexico:** Flash flooding is occurring in central and north-central Doña Ana County and southeastern Sierra County. Torrential rain—up to **3 inches per hour**—is causing flooding at low-water crossings along **Del Rey Boulevard and La Reina Road**, near Rincon and on the county highway toward Spaceport America. **Highway 185 south of Rincon** may also experience flooding. Warnings run until approximately **5:15–5:30 p.m. MDT**; a flood advisory for Rincon lasts until **4:30 p.m.** Never drive through floodwater—turn around and find another route.
– **Southern California/Southern Nevada:** A life-threatening flash flood warning covers areas between **Searchlight, Cal-Nev-Ari, Highway 95, I-40, and Essex**. About **0.5–1 inch of rain** has fallen, with additional flooding possible through the afternoon. Warning expires around **6:30 p.m. PDT**. Avoid flooded highways, underpasses, washes, and low-water crossings.
– **South Dakota:** A severe thunderstorm in central Butte County is moving east at **25 mph**, producing **60-mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail**. Areas near Newell, Castle Rock, Newell Lake, Belle Fourche Reservoir, and Owl Butte may be affected until about **4:45 p.m. MDT**. Delay travel if possible and protect vehicles from hail.
