**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

🌪️ **Gulf Coast tropical hazards:** Hurricane Warnings cover the Florida Panhandle from Pensacola to Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Milton, and surrounding areas, plus coastal and southern Alabama. Hurricane-force winds are possible, with gusts up to **110 mph** near Pensacola and up to **105 mph** near Santa Rosa County. Dangerous winds, debris, flooding, and several tornadoes are possible. Storm surge of **4–7 feet** and rainfall of **3–8 inches** could make roads impassable, including the **US-90 Causeway**. Avoid flooded roads, coastal routes, and unnecessary travel; evacuate if directed. Alerts generally expire **Thursday at 3 p.m. CDT**, with hazardous winds mainly Friday into early Saturday.

🌧️ **Mississippi and inland Alabama:** Tropical storm warnings include areas near Lucedale, Leakesville, Evergreen, Monroeville, Greenville, and surrounding communities. Gusts may reach **60–70 mph**, with **2–6 inches** of rain and possible road, bridge, and underpass flooding. A few tornadoes are possible in parts of Alabama and Mississippi.

🌊 **Hawaii:** A Flood Watch continues for **Kauai, Oahu, and Niihau** through this afternoon, with heavy rain, rapid runoff, overflowing streams, and possible closures of flood-prone roads. The watch expires at **6 p.m. HST**.

🌫️ **California:** Dense fog is reducing visibility to **one-quarter mile or less** along the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas and the central coast, including San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County coastal areas, through **9 a.m. PDT**. Slow down, use headlights, and increase following distance.
