🌧️ **Road-Weather Update: Flooding Concerns in WV, MD & AK**
**West Virginia:** A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for northwestern Wayne County—including Wayne, Beech Fork State Park and Lavalette—until **noon EDT**. Thunderstorms have dropped 1 to 1.5 inches of rain, with another 0.5 to 1 inch possible. Flooding may affect highways, streets, underpasses, small creeks and low-lying areas. **Do not drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown.**
**Maryland:** Flood watches are in effect for Prince Georges County until **11 AM EDT**, and Southern Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Southeast Harford counties until **4 PM EDT**. Heavy showers and thunderstorms may produce rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, with localized totals of 2 to 3 inches. Urban streets, poor-drainage areas and low-water crossings could flood.
**Alaska:** A Flood Watch continues for the Central Susitna Valley—including Talkeetna, Trapper Creek and Petersville—until **2 PM AKDT**. Up to a half-inch of additional rain may cause small creeks and low-lying areas to flood, especially near Peters Creek, Cache Creek and Montana Creek.
Slow down, allow extra travel time, and avoid water-covered roads. Check local conditions before traveling.
