🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

• **Connecticut, southeastern New York, Massachusetts & Rhode Island:** Flash flooding is affecting parts of Connecticut, including Hartford, Watertown, Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk and Danbury. Several roads are closed in Watertown, and 1–4 inches of additional rain is possible in southern Hartford County. Flood warnings run as late as **11:30 PM EDT**. Severe storms may also produce **60 mph winds** from the Hartford/Springfield area toward Worcester and northwest Rhode Island through **9:45 PM EDT**.

• **Tennessee, Alabama & West Virginia:** Flash flooding is ongoing or possible near **I-65 east of Columbia, Tennessee**, and around Murfreesboro, Franklin and Spring Hill after 1–3.5 inches of rain. In northwest Alabama, Florence and Muscle Shoals have received 2–3.5 inches, with another 1–2 inches possible. In West Virginia, watch for flooding on **I-79 between mile markers 22–35 and 106–113**; warnings last until **11:45 PM EDT** in some areas.

• **Missouri & Arkansas:** Severe storms may bring **60 mph winds and damaging hail** near Sparta and Chadwick, Missouri, and across parts of Arkansas including Hempstead, Johnson and Newton counties. Minor flooding is also possible around Springfield, Missouri, especially at low-water crossings.

• **Texas, New Mexico & Oklahoma:** Severe thunderstorms with **60 mph winds and hail** are affecting El Paso—including **I-10 between mile markers 21 and 31**—plus parts of the Texas Panhandle, northeast New Mexico and the Oklahoma Panhandle. Avoid flooded arroyos, low-water crossings, and roads covered by water.

• **Iowa:** A dangerous severe storm near Washington is moving southeast at **45 mph** with **70 mph wind gusts and tennis-ball-size hail** possible. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect through **10 PM CDT** for much of central, eastern and southeastern Iowa, including the Des Moines, Iowa City, Davenport and Burlington areas.

• **Upper Michigan & northeast Wisconsin:** Severe thunderstorm watches remain in effect through **11 PM EDT/10 PM CDT** for Upper Michigan and through **10 PM CDT** for northeast Wisconsin. Drivers should prepare for possible damaging winds and large hail, especially around Marquette, Escanaba, Houghton, Marinette and Oconto.
