**Chicago metro / northwest Indiana:** Tornadoes and destructive thunderstorms are moving east at 55–75 mph. A confirmed tornado was reported near Homewood/Flossmoor, with tornado warnings affecting Cook, Will and Kankakee Counties in Illinois and Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. Wind gusts of 90–100+ mph are possible around Chicago, Joliet, Hammond, Gary, Merrillville, Crown Point and Valparaiso. Warnings expire between 11:15 and 11:45 AM CDT. Heavy rain is also causing roadway flooding across the Chicago area, with rainfall rates of 2–3 inches per hour.

**Indiana:** Flash flooding is affecting north-central and northwest Indiana, including Peru, Wabash, Knox, Winamac and North Judson. Rainfall of 2–6 inches has fallen, with another 2–3 inches possible; roads, underpasses and low-lying areas may be flooded through 3 PM EDT. Damaging storms with 60 mph winds and large hail also affect Pulaski, La Porte, Starke, Grant, Blackford, Huntington, Wabash and Wells Counties. Use extra caution on **I-69 between mile markers 253 and 277**.

**Ohio / West Virginia:** A tornado warning is in effect near Gallipolis, OH, extending into Mason and Cabell Counties, WV, until 12:30 PM EDT. Severe storms are producing 60 mph winds and torrential rain across southeast Ohio and western/northern West Virginia. Dangerous driving conditions include flooding, downed trees and debris—especially along **I-77** in Ohio and West Virginia and **I-64 in West Virginia**. Flash flood warnings cover areas including Athens, Zanesville, Woodsfield, Caldwell, Marietta and Belpre through mid-afternoon.

**North Dakota:** Severe thunderstorms near Lisbon, Litchville, Fort Ransom and northeastern LaMoure County may bring golf-ball-size hail and 60 mph wind gusts through 11:30–11:45 AM CDT.

**Arizona:** Water may cover roads near Three Points and Tucson Estates in Pima County, including **Route 86 (mile markers 147–150)** and **Route 286 (mile markers 28–42),** through 12:15 PM MST.

**Wisconsin and portions of Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio and West Virginia:** Severe thunderstorm watches remain in effect this afternoon. Be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions.
