BlueParrott Pro B350 vs. B450: Top Headsets for Professional Drivers

BlueParrott Launches Pro B350 and Pro B450 Headsets for Long-Haul Drivers

BlueParrott has launched a new line of Bluetooth headsets aimed at professional truck drivers who need reliable communication in noisy cab and roadside environments.

Announced May 27 in Lowell, Massachusetts, the BlueParrott Pro Series includes two models: the Pro B350 and the Pro B450. Both use multi-microphone systems and AI-powered voice isolation designed to reduce the effects of cab, road and wind noise during calls and other voice communications.

For drivers, the technology is intended to improve communication with dispatchers, customers and other members of a trucking operation. The headsets also support navigation and real-time coordination, according to BlueParrott. The company positioned the products as durable, all-day-wear devices for long-haul work.

“Professional drivers rely on clear, consistent communication no matter the environment,” said Andrew Doyle, vice president and general manager of BlueParrott and Jabra. He said the new series combines extended talk time with voice isolation and noise cancellation.

Pro B450 includes adjustable listening modes

The Pro B450 is the higher-priced model in the series and includes several features intended for extended use behind the wheel or during work around the truck.

BlueParrott says the B450’s AI-powered voice isolation and Active Noise Cancellation work together to block up to 98% of background noise for clearer calls. The headset includes three user-controlled listening modes: Active Noise Cancellation on, HearThrough and Active Noise Cancellation off. Drivers can switch between the modes with a single button, allowing them to adjust how much of their surrounding environment they hear.

The HearThrough setting is designed to let outside sound in, while the noise-cancellation setting focuses on reducing background noise. The ability to turn noise cancellation off gives users another option depending on whether they are communicating from the cab, walking around a truck stop or working in a busier environment.

The B450 provides up to 45 hours of talk time, which BlueParrott describes as the longest battery life available in one of its headsets. It also supports fast charging. The headset is rated IP55 for protection against dust and water, although that rating does not make it waterproof.

Other B450 features include pressure-reducing cushioning, a secure fit, multi-device Bluetooth connectivity and an extended wireless range. The headset also includes BlueParrott’s customizable BlueParrott Button and voice-control functions. Those controls are designed to let drivers handle common communication tasks without repeatedly reaching for a phone.

Pro B350 emphasizes lighter design and battery life

The Pro B350 offers many of the same communication-focused features in a lighter design. Its microphones use AI-powered voice isolation to block up to 98% of background noise, according to the company.

The B350 provides up to 40 hours of talk time and supports fast charging. It carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and moisture. BlueParrott describes the headset as ultra-light and says it uses a soft ear cushion intended for all-day comfort.

The model supports multi-device Bluetooth connectivity and extended wireless range. It also includes a BlueParrott Button, voice control and one-touch controls for communication tasks.

The B350 is priced at $149.99, while the B450 is priced at $179.99. Both models can be ordered online, according to the announcement.

Communication remains a daily operating tool

Headsets are a routine part of work for many professional drivers, particularly those who spend long periods coordinating with dispatch, receiving directions or handling calls while away from the truck. Road and engine noise, open windows, ventilation systems and wind can all make conversations more difficult, especially during loading, fueling and roadside stops.

The Pro Series addresses those conditions through a combination of microphone processing, noise cancellation, voice controls and physical durability. The two models differ mainly in their protection ratings, battery capacity, comfort features and listening controls, giving drivers a choice between a lighter headset and a model with more extensive noise-management options.

BlueParrott is promoting the series as a purpose-built alternative to general consumer Bluetooth headsets. The company says both models were designed around the needs of long-haul professional drivers, including extended wear, long battery life and communication in noisy environments.

The launch adds another set of driver-focused options to a headset market increasingly centered on hands-free communication and electronic control. For drivers, the practical differences will likely come down to fit, battery performance, noise reduction and how easily the controls can be used during a shift.
