🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

– **South Dakota:** A severe thunderstorm warning affects southern Corson and northern Dewey counties, including areas near Little Moreau Rec Area, Glencross and Trail City. The storm is moving northeast at 30 mph with **60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail**. A separate flood warning continues in west-central Dewey County near Green Grass, where heavy rain may flood streams, low-lying areas and roads. **Turn around—don’t drown.**

– **Massachusetts & Rhode Island:** Flooding is occurring or expected across parts of southeastern Massachusetts and northeastern Providence County, including Brockton, Pawtucket, Taunton, East Providence and Woonsocket. **Three to six inches of rain** has fallen, with another **0.5–1 inch possible**. Flooding may affect poor-drainage areas and portions of **Route 122 near Cumberland**. The warning continues into this afternoon.

– **Southwest flooding:** Flood watches cover southwest New Mexico and far west Texas, including the El Paso area, from today through late Tuesday night. Tropical moisture associated with the remnants of **Tropical Cyclone Polo** may produce repeated thunderstorms and rainfall totals up to **4 inches**, with flooding of low-water crossings possible. Watches continue into Wednesday morning.

– **Arizona, Nevada and southeast California:** Flood watches remain in effect around Kingman, Lake Havasu, Bullhead City, Laughlin, Needles, Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Searchlight and southern Clark County. Showers and thunderstorms could cause flash flooding and flood low-water crossings through tonight or Tuesday evening.

– **Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles:** A flood watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Several more inches of rain may fall in areas already wet from recent rainfall, increasing runoff and urban flooding concerns.

– **Dense fog:** Visibility may fall to **one-quarter mile or less** across parts of eastern South Dakota, western Minnesota, northern Texas and Oklahoma, western and central Kansas, Illinois, northwest Indiana and central/eastern Nebraska. Advisories generally continue through midmorning. Slow down, use headlights and increase following distance.
