🚨 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update — Southwest**
**New Mexico:** Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing or likely across parts of Dona Ana, Sierra, Luna, Lincoln and Socorro counties. Heavy rain rates of **2–4 inches per hour** and additional rainfall up to **2 inches** may cause rapid rises in arroyos, creeks, streets, underpasses and highways.
– **Highway 185:** Low-water crossings between mile markers 21–35 may become impassable.
– **Highway 380:** Flooding is possible between mile markers 1–71.
– **I-25:** Flooding is possible between mile markers 103–146, 148–150 and near mile marker 154.
– **Highway 26 near Nutt and Macho Springs:** Flash flooding is possible.
A severe thunderstorm near Hatch, Leasburg and Rincon was producing **60-mph wind gusts and penny-size hail**, including I-25 between mile markers 13–39.
**Arizona:** Flash Flood Warnings continue for parts of Pinal and Pima counties. Up to **1.5 inches** has fallen, with another **1–3 inches** possible. Avoid flooded roads on **Route 77 between mile markers 102–121, Route 86 between 113–167 and Route 286 between 17–45.** Minor flooding is also possible near the Blue River in Greenlee County, including low-water crossings along Juan Miller Road. The Gila River near Solomon is forecast to rise above flood stage, potentially closing bridges in the Safford Valley.
**Colorado and Utah:** Flood Watches remain in effect through late Wednesday or Thursday morning across southern and southwest Colorado and southeast Utah. Heavy rain from remnant tropical moisture—including Hurricane Polo—could trigger flooding near burn scars, low-water crossings, creeks, streams, washes and arroyos. Unpaved roads may become muddy and impassable.
