Mother’s Day Truck Convoy Rolls On at New Venue

Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley’s annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy will continue after organizers secured a new location for the event, preserving a tradition that has raised more than $10 million for children with critical illnesses.

Convoy Tradition to Continue

The truck convoy has been held annually since 1990 and has become a major fundraiser for Make-A-Wish across the region. Proceeds help grant wishes for children battling critical illnesses.

After nearly four decades, the event faced the possibility of cancellation when its longtime venue became unavailable.

Previous Venue Ends Outside Events

The Manheim Auto Auction had hosted the convoy since 2020. In May, the auction’s owners told organizers that outside events would no longer be permitted at the facility because of changing business models and security standards.

Organizers have since found a new home for the convoy, allowing the annual Mother’s Day event to move forward. Additional details about the new venue and this year’s event were not included in the announcement.

Millions Raised for Wish-Granting Efforts

The convoy’s fundraising total has surpassed $10 million since the event began. The money supports Make-A-Wish programs serving children and families in Philadelphia, Delaware and the Susquehanna Valley.
