🚗 **Road-Weather Update:** Heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are creating dangerous travel conditions across parts of the Ohio Valley and Pennsylvania.
**Ohio:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected around Columbus, Steubenville, Cadiz, Wellsburg, and Wintersville, with 1–2.5 inches of rain already reported. Flooded streets, underpasses, and low-lying roads are possible through 2:30 PM EDT. Additional minor flooding is possible near Lancaster, Pickerington, Canal Winchester, and Groveport through 3:45 PM.
Severe storms in southeastern Ohio are producing 60–70 mph wind gusts, large hail, torrential rain, and possible tree and power-line damage. Storms are moving southeast around 25–35 mph.
**Ohio/West Virginia:** Severe storms are affecting the I-77 corridor near Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, St. Marys, and Middlebourne. Expect gusts up to 60 mph, half-dollar-size hail, sudden downpours, and hazardous driving conditions on I-77 and nearby Route 50 through 1:15 PM EDT.
**Pennsylvania:** Flash flooding is reported in the Pittsburgh-area suburbs, including Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, McMurray, McKeesport, Greensburg, Jeannette, and Irwin. Roads, highways, streets, and underpasses may flood through mid-afternoon.
In central Pennsylvania, severe storms near I-80 between the Kylertown and Lamar exits and on I-99 near mile markers 83–85 may bring 60 mph winds, hail, very heavy rain, and rapidly developing tornado potential through 1:30 PM EDT.
**West Virginia:** Severe storms near Morgantown, Westover, Star City, and Kingwood are moving east at 25 mph with damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph through 1:45 PM EDT.
Severe thunderstorm watches remain in effect into this evening across large portions of Ohio, West Virginia, northeast Kentucky, central and eastern Pennsylvania, and parts of central New York. A broader flood watch remains in effect through Friday morning for northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest Virginia, and much of West Virginia.
