🚨 **TORNADO WARNING — La Salle County, Illinois:** A tornado-capable squall line near Ottawa is moving east at 45 mph. The warning is in effect until **9:15 AM CDT**. Severe winds up to **70 mph** are also expected along and north of **I-80**, with storms affecting the Ottawa–Streator–Marseilles area through **9:45 AM CDT**. **Seek shelter in a sturdy building now; do not attempt to drive through the warned area. **Northern Illinois/Northwest Indiana:** Severe storms are also targeting areas near **I-88** from Rochelle through DeKalb and Sycamore, with gusts up to **60 mph**. A severe-thunderstorm watch remains in effect through **1 PM CDT / 2 PM EDT** from the Chicago area into northwest Indiana.

**Northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa & west-central Illinois:** Severe storms near Keokuk, Kahoka, Green City and Carthage are producing up to **60 mph winds**, torrential rain and possible flash flooding. Avoid roads blocked by fallen trees or water.

**Central and eastern Indiana:** Widespread **flash flooding** is occurring, with numerous flooded roadways reported around Anderson, Muncie, New Castle, Rushville, Shelbyville, Greensburg and nearby communities. Rainfall of **2–6 inches** has fallen, with more possible. Flash-flood warnings generally run through **12:15–1 PM EDT**. Turn around—don’t drown; never drive through flooded streets, underpasses or low-water crossings.

**Central Kentucky:** Flash flooding is affecting the Frankfort and Shelbyville area. Water is reported over **two lanes of Highway 127 in Frankfort**. Between **2 and 3.5 inches** of rain has fallen, with up to another inch possible; the warning lasts until **11:30 AM EDT**.

**Indiana/Ohio river flooding:** Low roads near the Whitewater River may flood from this evening into Thursday, including near Brookville, Cedar Grove, West Harrison and Harrison, Ohio. Major flooding is forecast along the West Fork Whitewater River near Alpine, Indiana, through Friday morning.
