**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

• **Indiana:** Dangerous flash flooding is affecting the Indianapolis area, including Indianapolis, Greenwood, Franklin, Columbus, Anderson, Carmel and Plainfield. Rain totals range from 1–4 inches in Bartholomew County and up to 5–10 inches in Madison County; flooded streets, highways and underpasses are possible through this evening. River flooding may also close secondary roads near Linn Grove, Marion and Warren through Friday and into the weekend. Severe storms with 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail are also impacting parts of southern Indiana, including **I-64 between mile markers 44 and 60**.

• **Nevada/California/Arizona:** Flash flooding is underway or expected near Searchlight, Cal-Nev-Ari and Cottonwood Cove on the CA/NV border, with up to 1.5 inches of rain. Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Nellis AFB face severe storms with 60 mph winds, small hail and urban ponding. In Arizona, heavy rain may make washes, dirt roads, paved roads and underpasses impassable near Bagdad; flooding advisories also cover parts of Mohave and Pima counties.

• **Texas/New Mexico:** Central Pecos County, Texas, has flash flooding from thunderstorms after 1–1.5 inches of rain, with up to another inch possible; a severe storm south of Fort Stockton is producing 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail. Flooding is also possible at low-water crossings and arroyos in northeastern Sierra County and near Magdalena, New Mexico.

• **Alaska:** Major flooding is forecast along Mendenhall Lake and River near Juneau through Friday morning. View Drive, Skaters Cabin Road, Riverside Drive, Back Loop Road Bridge and nearby roads may become flooded or impassable as water rises toward a projected 16.1–16.6 feet Thursday.

• **Severe storms:** Damaging 60 mph winds and hail are affecting or threatening parts of southwest Illinois; Upstate South Carolina near Greenville, Mauldin and Simpsonville; and the Florida Big Bend/south Georgia near Monticello and Boston. In the Black Hills near Custer, South Dakota, storms are moving east at 40 mph with tennis-ball-size hail and 60 mph winds.

• **Severe thunderstorm watches:** Stay alert through 9 PM MDT across northeast Colorado, the Nebraska Panhandle and eastern/southeast Wyoming, including Sterling, Fort Morgan, Scottsbluff, Cheyenne and Torrington.

• **Kentucky:** A Flood Watch remains in effect through early Thursday morning for much of eastern and southeastern Kentucky, where heavy rain could flood creeks, low-lying areas and flood-prone roads.
