🚗 **Road-Weather Update: Heavy rain, flash flooding and severe storms are creating hazardous travel in parts of the Midwest.**
**Illinois:** Flash flooding is ongoing or possible in east-central Illinois and northwest Indiana, including around Paxton, Gibson City, Fowler, Otterbein and Oxford. Rainfall rates of 1.5–3 inches per hour are possible, with flooded streets, underpasses and low-lying roads. In Vermilion County, use extra caution on **I-74 between mile markers 199 and 220** through the Danville area; the Flash Flood Warning lasts until **6:45 AM CDT**. Severe storms near Mackinaw may produce **60 mph wind gusts and nickel-size hail** through **1:15 AM CDT**, affecting portions of **I-155, I-474 and I-74**.
**Indiana:** Severe thunderstorms are moving southeast across central and west-central Indiana with **60 mph winds, hail and torrential rain**. Travel along **I-65 between mile markers 156 and 184** and **I-74 between mile markers 1 and 23** near Lafayette, Frankfort, Covington and Veedersburg may be affected through **2:30 AM EDT**. Flash flooding is also a concern near Fowler, Otterbein, Oxford, Lafayette and West Lafayette. River flooding is affecting roads near Marion and Linn Grove, where county-road flooding is expected near the Wabash River.
**Ohio:** Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect through about **3:15–3:30 AM EDT** for parts of Jackson, Vinton and Gallia counties, including Wellston, McArthur and Oak Hill. About **1.5–3 inches of rain** has fallen, with flooded creeks, streets, underpasses and low-lying roads possible.
**Colorado:** A Flash Flood Watch is in effect Friday afternoon into Friday evening near the **Aspen Acres Burn Scar**, including Beulah, San Isabel, and **Highways 165 and 78**. Heavy rain could trigger flash flooding and debris flows.
