🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

**Colorado & southeast Wyoming/Nebraska:** Widespread flash flooding from heavy thunderstorms. Avoid flooded roads around Denver, Lakewood, Brighton, Byers/Strasburg, rural Las Animas and Larimer counties. **I-70 near Byers/Strasburg** and **I-80 from southeastern Wyoming into the Nebraska Panhandle** face flood risk; 2.5–3 inches of rain has fallen near Pine Bluffs, with more possible. Severe storms also bring 60 mph winds and hail in eastern Colorado.

**Nevada & northwest Arizona:** Life-threatening flash flooding near Caliente and along **SR-168 near Coyote Springs**, where 2–3 inches of rain has fallen. Severe storms near Hoover Dam and Lake Mead may produce 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail. Use extreme caution around washes, underpasses, and low-water crossings.

**West Texas & New Mexico:** Flash flooding is ongoing near Alpine, Balmorhea, Sierra Madera, and east-central Sierra County, NM. Rainfall of 1.5–3 inches has fallen in spots; some roads may remain flooded even after rain ends.

**Indiana & eastern Illinois:** Significant river and roadway flooding continues along the Wabash River. **SR-225 is closed by high water near Lafayette**, and flooding could reach **I-70 mile marker 4 near Terre Haute/West Terre Haute** as the river rises. Additional local flooding is occurring around Muncie, Columbus, Shelbyville, New Castle, and Rushville. Never drive around barricades.

**Virginia:** Severe thunderstorms are moving southeast through central and northwestern Virginia, including Charlottesville, Fluvanna County, Farmville, and the Shenandoah Valley. Expect 60–80 mph winds, large hail, rapidly reduced visibility, ponding water, and possible roads blocked by fallen trees. Brief tornadoes can develop with severe storms—avoid travel until storms pass.

**Florida, Georgia, Alabama & Oklahoma:** Severe storms with 60 mph winds and hail are affecting Ocala, FL; Thomasville, GA; Dothan/Daleville, AL; and northwest Oklahoma near Gage and Shattuck. Heavy rain may cause standing water and localized flooding, especially around Ocala and northeast Florida.

**Hawaii:** Tropical Cyclone Lala may bring dangerous flooding rains beginning this evening on the Big Island and Maui—10–15 inches possible in windward Big Island areas and 8–12 inches on windward Maui. Flood-prone roads could close. Heavy rain spreads to Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau Saturday evening into late Sunday.
