**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
**Hawaii:** Hurricane Warnings cover the Big Island, including Hilo, Kailua-Kona, Pahoa, Naalehu and surrounding areas. Expect tropical-storm-force winds with gusts up to 100 mph at the summits, 1–3 feet of storm-surge flooding in prone coastal areas, and additional rain of 2–18 inches—highest across the east and southeast Big Island. Numerous road, bridge and underpass closures are possible from flooding, debris, mudslides and washouts. Tropical Storm Warnings also cover Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kauai and Niihau, with gusts generally 50–75 mph, locally higher, plus flooding rain and coastal inundation. Avoid coastal and low-lying roads, bridges, flooded underpasses and routes with fallen trees or power lines. Alerts expire at 6:45 AM HST, with some impacts continuing beyond then.
**Illinois:** Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect through about 8:00 AM CDT for a large part of central and east-central Illinois. Flooding is impacting or possible along I-74, I-39, I-55, I-72, I-155 and I-474, including around Peoria, Pekin, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana and Danville. Many areas have received 2–5 inches of rain, with rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour and more rain possible. Flooded streets, underpasses and highways are a serious concern. A severe thunderstorm line moving east at 40 mph may produce 60 mph wind gusts near I-72 in west-central Illinois through 4:45 AM CDT.
**Indiana:** A Flood Watch continues through Sunday morning for much of central Indiana. Additional rain may cause flooding of creeks, rivers, low-lying roads and other flood-prone areas. Be ready for rapidly changing road conditions.
**Alaska:** A Wind Advisory is posted for the eastern Alaska Range north of Trims Camp from 10 AM Sunday through midnight Monday night. South winds of 25–35 mph, gusting to 55 mph, may make travel difficult—especially for high-profile vehicles.
