**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
⚠️ **Ohio:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting much of central, eastern and northeastern Ohio, with damaging wind gusts up to **70 mph** and torrential rain. Areas including Zanesville, Coshocton, Canton, Lancaster, New Lexington, Dover and Salem could see downed trees, power lines, sudden low visibility and flooded streets. Warnings generally expire between **2:15 and 2:45 PM EDT.** Flash Flood Warnings for Perry and Muskingum Counties continue until **4:45 PM EDT**, while flooding has already closed numerous roads in parts of Monroe, Muskingum and Noble Counties through **6:30 PM EDT.** Never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads.
⚠️ **West Virginia/Ohio:** Severe storms moving east at **45 mph** may produce **60 mph wind gusts** near Ripley, Spencer, Ravenswood, Elizabeth and Harrisville. Use extra caution on **I-77 between mile markers 136 and 168** through **2:45 PM EDT**; tree debris, crosswinds and torrential rain may quickly make travel hazardous.
⚠️ **North Carolina:** Severe thunderstorms with **60 mph wind gusts** are impacting central NC, including the **I-85 corridor between mile markers 181 and 196** near Creedmoor and Butner, through **2:45 PM EDT.** Additional storms threaten the Fayetteville, Southern Pines, Raeford, Carthage and Fort Bragg areas through **2:30 PM EDT.** Delay travel if possible and avoid roads blocked by trees or power lines.
⚠️ **Colorado:** A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until **8 PM MDT** near the Aspen Acres burn scar, including **Highways 165 and 78** near Beulah and San Isabel. Heavy rain could trigger rapid street flooding, debris flows and dangerous conditions near low-lying roads and burn-scar drainage areas.
⚠️ **Hawaii:** On the Big Island, rain associated with Hurricane Lala is causing minor road and stream flooding, especially around Hilo, Kaʻu and Puna. Rain rates of **0.5 to 1.25 inches per hour** are possible; the Flood Advisory runs until **10:30 AM HST.** Avoid flooded roads, streams and drainage crossings.
