**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **Appalachians—flooded-road risk:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected through this evening in parts of **WV, southeast OH and southwest VA**. Avoid **I-79 in northern WV (mile markers 111–128), WV Route 50 near mile markers 81–82, I-77 near Marietta, OH (mile markers 4–17), and I-81 in southwest VA (mile markers 17–34)**. High water may cover streets, underpasses and low-lying routes. A broader Flood Watch remains in effect through **2 AM EDT Tuesday** for northeast KY, southeast OH, southwest VA and much of WV. **Never drive through flooded roads—turn around.**

⛈️ **North Carolina:** Severe storms are moving east at 20–40 mph across western and central NC, including the Asheville area, Waynesville, Sylva, Murphy, Winston-Salem, Yadkinville and Mocksville. Expect wind gusts up to **60 mph**, isolated hail, downed trees/power lines, and torrential rain that could quickly flood roads. Use extra caution on **I-40 and I-74 near Winston-Salem**.

⛈️ **Midwest/Plains:** Severe thunderstorms with **60 mph winds and hail** may create sudden hazards across northeastern MN near Hibbing and Virginia; central/northern SD near Pierre, Fort Pierre, Hayes and Corson County; northern and western NE; and central Garfield County, MT near Jordan and Brusett. Nebraska’s severe-storm watch continues through late tonight. Slow down, avoid stopping beneath trees, and be alert for debris and hail.

⛈️ **Other severe-storm areas:**
• **Northeast MS:** 60 mph winds and hail near New Albany, Ripley and Blue Mountain, including **I-22 between mile markers 45–66**.
• **Southeast AZ:** 60 mph winds near Clifton and Morenci; use caution on Routes **78, 191 and 75**.
• **Northern DE/southeast PA:** 60 mph winds near Coatesville, West Chester, Exton and Chester.
• **Florida Panhandle:** Damaging winds near Eglin AFB and Freeport.
• **East TN:** 60 mph winds and hail near Jasper, Whitwell and Monteagle.
• **North-central NM:** Heavy rain has caused arroyo and small-stream flooding near La Cienega and La Bajada; avoid low-water crossings.
