Hammer Down Road Report

**Road-Weather Update**

**Nebraska:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting parts of central and southeast Nebraska, including **I-80 from mile markers 345–379**, through 1:45 PM CDT. Storms are moving southeast at 30–35 mph with wind gusts up to 60 mph and penny-size hail; a separate storm near David City may produce quarter-size hail through 1:30 PM. Expect sudden crosswinds, debris, and reduced visibility. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for much of eastern and southeast Nebraska, including Lincoln and Omaha-area counties, until 4 PM CDT.

Flash flooding is ongoing or possible through 7 PM CDT around **Greeley, Fullerton, Genoa, Spalding, and Scotia** after 1–3 inches of rain, with up to another inch possible. County roads, streets, low spots, and creek crossings may flood—never drive through water-covered roads.

**Southwest Iowa:** Fremont County is included in the severe thunderstorm watch until 4 PM CDT. Be ready for rapidly changing driving conditions.

**Puerto Rico:** Heavy thunderstorms may put water over roads in and around **San Sebastián, Moca, Isabela, Aguadilla, and Quebradillas** through 3 PM AST. An additional 1–2 inches of rain is possible; avoid low-lying roads and poor-drainage areas.

**Arizona:** Blowing dust is expected from 5–10 PM MST across the Phoenix-area valleys, including **Buckeye/Avondale, South Mountain/Ahwatukee, Queen Creek, Gila Bend, Tonopah Desert, and parts of Pinal County.** Visibility may drop to one-quarter mile or less. If dust approaches, safely pull completely off the road, park, turn off all lights, and keep your foot off the brake.
