Hammer Down Road Report

🚨 **Tornado Warnings in western Kentucky:** Seek shelter now and avoid travel in Trigg County and northwestern Graves/south-central McCracken Counties. Tornado-capable storms are moving east at 40 mph near Land Between The Lakes, Golden Pond, and Lovelaceville; warnings run until 1:15–1:30 AM CDT. Check the NWS for the most recent tornado information.

**Severe storm travel hazards:** Destructive winds up to 80 mph are possible across western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee, including the Land Between The Lakes, Dover, Erin, Paris, and Camden areas. Storms are moving east at 25–45 mph and may bring damaging trees, power outages, hail, and debris on roads. Central/west-central Indiana also has severe storms with 60 mph winds and hail affecting **I-70 from mile markers 15–61** through 2:45 AM EDT.

**Flash flooding:**
• Western Kentucky and southeast Missouri: Flooded streets, highways, underpasses, and low-lying areas are possible near Mayfield, Bardwell, Sikeston, Scott City, Piedmont, and Greenville after 1–4 inches of rain, with more rain expected.
• West-central Ohio: Flash flooding is ongoing or possible around Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Miamisburg, and southern Preble County after 2–4 inches of rain.
• Eastern Ohio, southwest Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia remain under a Flood Watch through this afternoon.
• Northern Delaware, much of New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania—including Philadelphia—have a Flood Watch from noon through late tonight; rainfall rates of 1–3 inches per hour and localized totals of 3–5 inches are possible.

**Arizona:** A dangerous dust storm affects **I-10 between mile markers 81–126**, plus portions of Routes 85 and 303 near Buckeye, Goodyear, Tonopah, and Palo Verde. Visibility may drop below a quarter-mile with winds over 50 mph. Do not drive into dust; if caught, pull safely off the road, turn off lights, and keep your foot off the brake.

**Maine:** Dense fog may reduce visibility to a quarter-mile or less across Penobscot, Hancock, Washington, and southeast Aroostook Counties until 7 AM EDT. Slow down, use headlights, and leave extra following distance.

Never drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown. Submit weather reports at **888-IS-4TIPS (888-474-8477)**, **HammerDownHeadlines.com**, or **HammerDownNews.com**. Check local conditions before traveling.
