**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **Severe thunderstorms are creating dangerous driving conditions across parts of the South, Mid-Atlantic and Southwest.**

– **Arizona:** Quarter-size hail near Bellemont and Camp Navajo is affecting **I-40 between mile markers 185–189** through **1:15 PM MST**. Slow down and avoid stopping beneath trees or overpasses.

– **North Carolina & southeastern Virginia:** Storms with **60 mph wind gusts** are moving east at 20 mph through **4:45 PM EDT**, including southern Chesapeake, VA and parts of northeastern NC. Another severe storm is affecting **I-95 between mile markers 52–65** near Godwin, Eastover, Stedman and Wade, with 60 mph winds and penny-size hail. Expect downed trees, power lines and sudden debris on roads.

– **Southern NC / northeastern SC:** Severe storms near Dillon, Red Springs, Pembroke, Fairmont and Maxton may produce **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **4:45 PM EDT**. Avoid roads blocked by fallen trees or power lines.

– **Pennsylvania:** A severe thunderstorm with **60 mph winds** is crossing southern York and southeastern Adams counties, including **I-83 from mile markers 0–16**, through **4:30 PM EDT**. Rotation has been detected, and tornadoes can develop quickly. Avoid travel if possible and seek sturdy shelter if conditions worsen.

– **Mississippi:** Near Pontotoc, **I-22 between mile markers 77–79** faces 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail through **3:30 PM CDT**. Vehicle damage and tree debris are possible.

– **Florida:** Severe winds up to **60 mph** and small hail are possible near Elkton and Dupont Center in southeastern St. Johns County through **4:15 PM EDT**. Flooding is also affecting parts of Brevard, Walton, Lake and Volusia counties. **1–3 inches of rain** have fallen, with another **1–3 inches** possible in some areas; low-lying roads and poor-drainage areas may flood through late afternoon/early evening.

– **Ohio:** Numerous roads are closed in parts of the Columbus area, including southern Delaware, northwestern Fairfield and southwestern Franklin counties. Flooded low-water crossings may be impassable through **7:15 PM EDT**. Do not drive around barricades.

– **New Mexico:** Heavy rain may cause minor flooding near Mescalero, Silver Lake and Sixteen Springs in north-central Otero County through **5 PM MDT**.

– **California:** Water may cover roads along **I-8 between Pine Valley and Boulevard** in San Diego County through **1:51 PM PDT**. Low-water crossings could become impassable.
