**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
**Southeast Arizona:** Life-threatening flash flooding and severe thunderstorms are impacting the Tucson, Vail, Benson, Sierra Vista, Bisbee and Douglas areas. Flooding is affecting **I-10**, I-19, and Routes 80, 82, 83, 90, 91 and 92, with water possible on highways, streets, underpasses and washes. Rainfall of 1–2 inches has fallen in places, with more possible. Severe storms near Tucson and Cochise County may produce **70–80 mph wind gusts** and large hail. Avoid flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown.
**New Jersey, southeastern New York & Philadelphia area:** Flash flooding is ongoing or possible overnight. In northern/central New Jersey, use caution on **I-287, I-78 and I-80**; flooding has been reported on Route 46 east of NJ 15 in Dover. Flash-flood concerns also extend into western Rockland County, New York, and the Philadelphia region, including **I-76, I-476 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike**. An additional 1–2 inches of rain is possible in parts of New Jersey; warnings run as late as **4:30 AM EDT**.
**Kansas City metro:** A severe thunderstorm moving northeast at 40 mph may bring **60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail** through 12:30 AM CDT. Watch for sudden wind damage, downed limbs and hazardous driving near **I-35, I-435, I-470, I-49 and I-70** around Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Independence and Lee’s Summit.
**Kansas, Nebraska & Iowa:** Dense fog is expected early Thursday, reducing visibility to **one-quarter mile or less** across northwest Kansas, much of Nebraska, and southwest/west-central Iowa. Fog advisories generally run from **3–4 AM until 10 AM CDT**. Slow down, use low-beam headlights and leave extra following distance.
