**Road-Weather Update: Severe storms and flooding hazards**
• **Alabama:** Severe thunderstorms near **Mobile** are moving southeast at 25 mph, with wind gusts up to **60 mph** through **2:45 PM CDT**. Use caution on **I-10 and I-65** near Mobile, Prichard, Daphne, Tillmans Corner and Fairhope—tree debris and sudden wind gusts can make driving hazardous.
• **North Carolina:** Severe storms affecting the **New Bern, Maysville, Arapahoe and Minnesott Beach** areas may produce **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **3:30 PM EDT**. Storms are moving east at 15–25 mph. Expect possible downed limbs, debris and hail-covered roads; a tornado can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms.
• **Florida:** Severe storms in the Big Bend, including **Tallahassee, Midway, Cross City and Old Town**, may bring **60 mph winds**, with penny-size hail possible near Tallahassee, through **3:30 PM EDT**. Avoid driving through debris or beneath damaged trees. In southwestern **Gilchrist County**, 1–2 inches of rain have fallen, with another 1–2 inches possible through **6 PM EDT**; low-lying and poor-drainage roads may flood. Never drive through flooded water.
• **Colorado:** A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through **9 PM MDT** for the **Aspen Acres Burn Scar**, including **Highways 165 and 78** near Beulah and San Isabel. Heavy rain could rapidly trigger flash flooding and debris flows—avoid low crossings and do not drive into water-covered roads.
