**Nationwide Road-Weather Update — Aug. 27**

⚠️ **Flash flooding is the top travel threat this evening.**
– **PA/NJ:** Flash Flood Warnings cover the Philadelphia–Camden area through **11 PM EDT**, with 1–2 inches already down and another 1–2 inches possible. Additional warnings affect the Easton–Bethlehem area, Lancaster/Lebanon counties, southwestern Franklin County, and parts of Lycoming/Sullivan counties. Flooding may cover streets, highways, underpasses, and low-water crossings.
– **WV:** Multiple roads are closed and vehicles have been stranded around **Martinsburg**; runoff flooding continues through **8:30 PM EDT**.
– **SC:** Beaufort, Colleton, and Hampton counties, including **Yemassee**, have received 2–4 inches of rain, with another 1–3 inches possible through **7:45 PM EDT**.
– **CO:** Life-threatening flooding and debris flows are possible near the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar, including **Highway 165, Highway 78, Beulah, and San Isabel**. Avoid stream crossings and roads downstream of the burn scar.
– **VA/UT/NC/AZ:** Localized roadway flooding is possible near Warm Springs/Hot Springs, VA; American Fork and Pleasant Grove, UT; northwestern Bladen County, NC; and near Arivaca, AZ.

⛈️ **Severe thunderstorms are producing damaging wind and hail:**
– **Nebraska:** Up to **60 mph winds** and **2-inch hail** threaten Cherry County. Use caution on **Highway 61, Highway 97, Highway 20, Highway 83, and Highway 12** near Valentine and Round Lake.
– **New York/Vermont/Pennsylvania/Maine:** Storms with 60 mph winds, hail, torrential rain, and possible downed trees may affect Albany/Troy, the Catskills, Hancock and Parksville, NY; northeastern PA; southern Oxford County, ME; and southern Vermont.
– **Maryland/Virginia/West Virginia:** 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail may block roads with fallen trees around Frederick, Germantown, Damascus, and nearby Loudoun County, VA, plus Capon Bridge and southeastern Hampshire County, WV.
– **Georgia/South Carolina/Texas/Arizona/South Dakota/Colorado:** Expect damaging winds around Ridgeland, SC and Clyo, GA; Beaumont and China, TX; Nogales and Rio Rico, AZ—including **I-19 between mile markers 1 and 14**; Cedar Butte, SD; and Colorado City, CO.

🌬️ **Alaska:** Southwest winds of 25–35 mph, gusting to **50 mph**, may make travel difficult along the Kuskokwim Delta, Western Capes, and Northern Bristol Bay Coast through **4 PM AKDT Friday**.
