**Road-Weather Update**
**Utah:** A severe thunderstorm line is racing northeast at 85 mph across the Wasatch Front, affecting **I-15, I-80 and I-84** through 11:15 AM MDT. Expect **60 mph wind gusts, quarter-size hail, and possible wind damage** near Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Provo, Sandy and Layton. Slow down, keep both hands on the wheel, and avoid stopping under trees or overpasses.
**North Carolina:** Heavy thunderstorms have dropped **1–2 inches of rain** in Tyrrell and central Washington counties, including Plymouth, Roper and Columbia. **Water may cover roads** through 2:45 PM EDT. Never drive through flooded pavement—turn around, don’t drown.
**Arizona:** Blowing dust is expected from **4 PM through 8–9 PM MST** across the Tucson area, western Pima County, Gila Bend, parts of Pinal County, South Mountain/Ahwatukee and Queen Creek. Thunderstorm winds of **45–55 mph** may drop visibility to **one-quarter mile or less**. If dust overtakes your route, pull completely off the road, park, turn off all lights, and keep your foot off the brake.
