**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **Flash flooding is the main driving hazard tonight:**
– **Arizona:** Rural Gila County near the Black River has received 1.5–2.25 inches of rain, with more possible through **7:45 PM MST**. Creeks, low-water crossings, streets and underpasses may flood.
– **Texas/New Mexico:** Flash flooding is affecting the **Franklin Mountains State Park and Transmountain Drive/Loop 375** area near El Paso through **7:30 PM MDT**. In New Mexico, heavy rain may flood arroyos, streams and low-water crossings in **Grant and Doña Ana counties**, including around Las Cruces, through this evening.
– **Maryland:** Flash flooding is ongoing near **Bowleys Quarters, Middle River, Dundalk, Essex and White Marsh** after 1.5–4 inches of rain. Multiple cars were reported stranded in standing water; impacts continue through **9:30 PM EDT**.
– **Kentucky/Virginia:** Flooding from thunderstorms is affecting parts of Elliott, Laurel and Clinton counties in Kentucky, plus Carroll County, Virginia. Roads in low-lying and poor-drainage areas may flood through late evening.
– **Ohio, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Florida:** Heavy rain may cause urban, small-stream and poor-drainage flooding around **Cleveland; Danbury/Newtown; Keene/Jaffrey; Orlando/Sanford/Apopka; and High Springs** through this evening.

⛈️ **Severe thunderstorms:**
– **North Carolina:** A storm moving northeast at 20 mph may produce **60 mph wind gusts** along **I-85 between mile markers 172 and 191**, near Durham, Butner and Creedmoor, through **8:15 PM EDT**.
– **Minnesota:** Near Birchdale and Manitou, expect **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **7:30 PM CDT**.
– **Arkansas:** Marion and Searcy counties face **60 mph winds and ping-pong-ball-size hail** through **7:15 PM CDT**.
– **New Mexico:** **I-40 between mile markers 263 and 281** near Santa Rosa may see **60 mph winds, quarter-size hail and sudden roadway flooding** through **6:30 PM MDT**.
