**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

– **Alaska:** Snow is expected across the Eastern Alaska Range from 4 p.m. today through 10 p.m. Thursday, with **6–11 inches** possible. Travel may become very difficult or impossible, especially on the **Richardson Highway between MP 205 and MP 235**. Roads, bridges and overpasses may become slick.
– **Hawaii:** A **Flash Flood Warning** remains in effect for **Kauai until 6:30 a.m. HST**. Heavy rain near Hanalei is falling at **2–3 inches per hour**; water is flowing over the Hanalei Bridge, which is being closed. Flooding may affect roads, streams, underpasses and low-lying areas.
– **Texas Panhandle:** Ongoing flooding is affecting parts of **Deaf Smith, Oldham, Randall and Potter counties**, including Hereford, Canyon, Vega, Boys Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon. **2–5 inches of rain** has fallen in some areas; low-water crossings and roads may be impassable, including reported flooding near Westline Road and Palo Duro Creek. Warnings generally expire between **10:45 and 11:45 a.m. CDT**.
– **West Texas:** Flood Watches are in effect from **1 p.m. today through early Thursday morning** for parts of the Permian Basin and Lower Trans Pecos, including Upton, Pecos, Borden, Glasscock, Howard, Mitchell, Reagan, Scurry and Terrell counties. **1–2 inches of rain, with locally higher totals over 3 inches**, could produce flash flooding.
– **New Mexico:** The Pecos River above Pecos in San Miguel County is expected to rise above flood stage today, potentially making private bridges unsafe and isolating residents. The warning continues through this evening.
