Flooding is the primary travel concern across parts of the South and Midwest:

– **Missouri:** Moderate flooding continues along the Missouri River near Glasgow, affecting Saline, Chariton and Howard counties. **State Highway 240 west of Glasgow** and other low-lying roads could be inundated as the river rises toward a forecast crest near **30.9 feet Sunday afternoon**. The warning continues through **Wednesday morning**.
– **Southern Mississippi:** A Flood Watch remains in effect through **Sunday evening** for parts of Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties. Multiple rounds of storms could produce **4–7 inches of rain, with locally higher totals of 8–10 inches**, causing flooding on roads and in low-lying areas.
– **Southeastern Georgia:** Flash flooding is ongoing in central Appling County near **Surrency**, where **2–3.5 inches** of rain has fallen and another **1–2 inches** is possible. Minor flooding is also possible across portions of Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Pierce, Ware and Wayne counties. Advisories expire this afternoon and evening.
– **North Carolina:** Heavy rain has caused minor flooding around **Fayetteville, Clinton, Fort Bragg and Hope Mills**, with another **1–2 inches** possible. The advisory continues until **7 PM EDT**.
– **Southeastern Louisiana:** Minor flooding is occurring around **New Orleans, Kenner, Harvey, Chalmette and Metairie**. The advisory is in effect until **5:30 PM CDT**.

Never drive through floodwater or around barricades—**turn around, don’t drown**. Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and avoid low-lying roads and underpasses.
