Hammer down weather report 2026-10-14 08:01:02

**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

– **Texas and Oklahoma:** Heavy thunderstorms are causing or may cause flooding across the Texas Panhandle/northwest Texas and parts of central, western, and southwestern Oklahoma. Flooding is possible in low-lying areas, poor drainage locations, and low-water crossings. Up to 1–4 inches has fallen in parts of western Oklahoma, with up to 2 more inches possible; additional rain is also possible near Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, and Midwest City. Advisories expire this morning, while the Texas Flood Watch continues through late tonight. **Never drive through flooded roadsβ€”turn around, don’t drown.**
– **Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming:** Snow is creating slick or snow-covered roads in the Western Uinta Mountains, Colorado’s Sawatch, Mosquito, and San Juan mountain ranges, and the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. Snow totals of 2–10 inches are expected, with gusts up to 35 mph in parts of Colorado. Difficult travel is possible, including near South Pass and Wolf Creek Pass. Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and check road conditions before crossing mountain routes.
– **Southeast Alaska:** Wind advisories cover Sitka, Prince of Wales Island, Ketchikan, Annette Island, and nearby islands, with winds of 15–25 mph and gusts up to 45 mph. Winds may make travel difficult and could bring down branches. Use extra caution, especially during the advisory periods tonight through Friday morning.
– **South-central Louisiana:** Dense fog is reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or less across parts of Iberia, St. Martin, and St. Mary Parishes through 10 AM. Slow down, use headlights, and increase following distance.
