**Road Weather Update: Heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are creating hazardous travel conditions in several states.**

– **GA/SC—Augusta area:** Life-threatening flash flooding through **6:15 PM EDT**. **I-20 Exit 1 is closed due to flooding.** Flooding impacts portions of **I-20** and **I-520** near Augusta, North Augusta, Evans, Belvedere and Martinez. Rainfall of **2–4.5 inches** has fallen; never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads.

– **Central Mississippi:** Flash flooding is ongoing around **Jackson, Clinton, Pearl, Madison and Ridgeland** through **3:45 PM CDT**, with another **1–3 inches of rain** possible. Severe storms also threaten Rankin, Smith and Simpson counties with **60 mph winds** and quarter-size hail through **4 PM CDT**.

– **Missouri:** Severe storms along **I-44 from mile markers 78–114**, including near Springfield, Strafford, Marshfield, Buffalo and Conway, can produce **60 mph winds**, large hail up to half-dollar size, torrential rain and possible rapid flooding. Warnings run through **3:30–3:45 PM CDT**. Slow down, watch for debris, and avoid flooded pavement.

– **South Carolina:** Severe storms near **I-26 between mile markers 62–87** and **US-176**, including Saluda and Newberry, may bring **60 mph winds** and quarter-size hail through **4:45 PM EDT**.

– **NY/VT—Lake Champlain/Burlington area:** A storm moving east at **20 mph** may produce **60 mph wind gusts**, hail and torrential rain through **4:30 PM EDT** around Burlington, South Burlington, Winooski and Essex Junction. Watch for fallen trees, power lines and rapidly flooded roads.

– **Southeast Georgia:** Long County, including Hinesville, Ludowici and Walthourville, faces **60 mph wind gusts** through **4:30 PM EDT**.

– **Louisiana:** Water may cover roads in parts of St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes—including Franklinton and Amite City—through **5:45 PM CDT** after **2–3 inches** of rain, with another **1–2 inches** possible.

– **Florida:** Minor urban and small-stream flooding is possible around Nokomis, Venice Gardens, South Venice and Laurel through **4:45 PM EDT**.

– **Arizona:** Near Tremaine Lake in Coconino County, a severe storm may bring quarter-size hail through **1:15 PM MST**.
