**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **Flash flooding:**
– **Southwest Utah:** Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing or expected near Willis Creek, Bull Valley Gorge, and Sheep Creek in Kane County through **9:45 PM MDT**. Heavy rain has put 0.25–1 inch over normally dry washes and slot canyons. Never drive into flooded crossings.
– **Virginia:** Flooding is occurring in Bland County, including near Blue Grass Trail, Bland, Bastian, and Kimberling, after 3–5 inches of rain. Flood impacts may continue through **midnight EDT** on roads, underpasses, and low-water crossings.
– **Ohio & North Carolina:** Heavy rain is causing or may cause poor-drainage flooding near Fremont, Bellevue, Clyde, Gibsonburg, and Green Springs, Ohio, through **12:30 AM EDT**; and around Kannapolis, Concord, China Grove, Landis, and Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina, through **1 AM EDT**.

⛈️ **Damaging thunderstorms:**
– **Arizona:** Severe storms are producing 60–70 mph winds, with a confirmed 74 mph gust near Pinal Airpark. Use caution on **I-8 near Dateland**, **I-10 near Quartzsite and between mile markers 206–232 near Eloy/Picacho**, plus Route 86, Route 79, and Route 87. Small hail and sudden crosswinds are possible through this evening.
– **Nebraska & Colorado:** 60 mph wind gusts and hail threaten **I-80 between mile markers 49–77 near Sidney, Nebraska**, as well as Oshkosh/Lisco and the Crook–Proctor area of Colorado. Storms are moving east to southeast.
– **Illinois & Ohio:** Damaging winds and large hail are affecting **I-80 between mile markers 30–52 near Kewanee, Illinois**, and **I-71 between mile markers 114–138 in the Columbus area**. Severe storms near Wakeman, Ohio, are moving east at 40 mph. A tornado watch remains in effect for that warned area—be ready to stop travel and seek sturdy shelter if conditions worsen.

Severe thunderstorm watches continue through **midnight EDT in parts of Ohio** and through **4 AM CDT/5 AM EDT Monday across much of Illinois, northwest Indiana, and eastern Iowa**.

Drivers: slow down, keep extra distance, avoid stopping beneath trees or power lines, and pull off the road safely if winds, hail, or visibility become dangerous. **Never drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown.**
