**Road-Weather Update:** Severe thunderstorms in west-central and central Minnesota are moving east at 25–35 mph, bringing up to 60 mph wind gusts and half-dollar-size hail. Areas near Menahga, Huntersville, Nimrod, Clarkfield, Granite Falls, and Renville are affected through 7:30–7:45 AM CDT. Expect potential tree debris, wind damage, and vehicle-damaging hail—avoid driving into the storms if possible.
Dense fog is creating hazardous travel across much of Iowa, plus southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin, northeast Missouri, north-central Kansas, and central to south-central Nebraska. Visibility may fall to one-quarter mile or less through 9 AM CDT in IA/MN/WI/MO and through 10 AM CDT in KS/NE. Slow down, use headlights, increase following distance, and allow extra travel time.
