**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **California & Nevada:** Life-threatening flash flooding is underway or imminent in parts of San Diego County—including Hwy 78, Hwy 79, Hwy S2, Julian, Warner Springs and Ranchita—through **4 PM PDT**, with thunderstorms dropping **1–2 inches of rain in an hour**. Flash flooding, mudslides and rockslides are also affecting Lockwood Valley and Hwy 33 in Ventura County. Hawthorne, Nevada, has received **1–1.7 inches** of rain, with flash flooding possible through **5:45 PM PDT**. Never drive through flooded roads or low-water crossings.

⚠️ **Utah & Colorado:** Flash flooding is affecting the Upper Escalante River, North Creek, Birch Creek and Wide Hollow in Garfield County, Utah, through **8:30 PM MDT** after **1–1.5 inches** of rain. In Colorado, storms near the Gold Mountain Burn Scar could trigger debris flows along **Highway 550 between Cutler Creek and Dexter Creek** through **6:15 PM MDT**.

⛈️ **Midwest:** Severe storms are moving through Indiana with **60 mph winds, quarter-size hail and flooding**. Use caution on **I-70 from mile markers 1 to 68**, including near Terre Haute, Brazil and Bloomington. Flooding is also affecting central and west-central Indiana, including Indianapolis, Kokomo and Frankfort. In southeastern Ohio, flooding from **5–8 inches of rain** is impacting roads near New Lexington, Somerset, Crooksville and Junction City through early Wednesday.

🌪️ **Kentucky, West Virginia & Ohio:** Dangerous severe thunderstorms are racing southeast at up to **50 mph**, capable of **70–80 mph wind gusts**, hail, downed trees and sudden road blockages. The highest impacts include eastern Kentucky near Irvine, Beattyville, Jackson and Booneville; the Huntington-Ashland area; and west-central West Virginia. Use extra caution on **I-64 in West Virginia between mile markers 27 and 51** and **Route 119 between mile markers 44 and 66**. Severe thunderstorm watches continue in parts of KY, OH, WV and southwest VA until **8 PM EDT**.

⛈️ **Southeast:** A severe storm near Savannah is producing **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **6:45 PM EDT**, affecting **I-16, I-95 and I-516** around Pooler, downtown Savannah, Bluffton and Rincon. Additional severe storms with 60 mph winds and hail are affecting western North Carolina near Hendersonville, Brevard and Statesville. Flooding is possible on **US-321** near Lenoir and Patterson, with other high-water concerns near Burlington and Elon.

⛈️ **Alabama, Montana & Nebraska:** Severe storms may produce **60 mph winds and hail** near Gadsden and Boaz, Alabama; Mill Iron and Webster, Montana; and rural Lincoln County, Nebraska, including **Highway 92 between mile markers 191 and 203**. Slow down, avoid stopping under trees, and be prepared for sudden debris on the road.

🌧️ **Northeast:** Heavy rain may cause ponding and poor-drainage flooding through **7:45 PM EDT** near West Milford and Ringwood, New Jersey, and Suffern, Warwick and Sloatsburg, New York.
