Hammer down weather report 2026-08-28 11:00:53
**Road Weather Update**
**Illinois–Indiana:** Flooding continues along the Wabash River from Hutsonville to Vincennes, affecting parts of Crawford and Lawrence counties in Illinois and Knox and Sullivan counties in Indiana. River Road between Billett Road and Lincoln Memorial Bridge in Lawrence County is flooded, while Old Darwin Road and some rural roads near eastern Clark and Crawford counties are impassable. Higher rural roads near Riverton may also flood. Warnings continue through late Saturday night, Sunday morning, and Monday afternoon depending on location. Never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads—use a higher-ground alternate route.
**Western Alaska:** A Wind Advisory remains in effect through 4 PM AKDT for the Kuskokwim Delta, Western Capes, Nunivak Island, and Northern Bristol Bay Coast. South to southwest winds of 25–35 mph, gusting up to 50 mph, may make travel difficult, especially near the coast. Expect rough coastal conditions and possible water levels 1–2 feet above normal high tide along Kuskokwim Bay. Slow down, keep both hands on the wheel, and watch for blowing debris.
