Two Men Admit New Hampshire Warehouse Theft With Rented Box Truck

Two men admit to stealing goods from New Hampshire warehouse with rented box truck

Two men have pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the robbery of a warehouse in Londonderry, New Hampshire, in which stolen merchandise was loaded into a rented box truck and removed from the property.

Nasaiah Johnson, 25, and Xiao Yu, 28, pleaded guilty on November 4, 2026, to interfering with commerce by robbery, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire.

Federal prosecutors said Johnson and Yu traveled from New York to New England with four co-conspirators to rob a local business. The group’s preparations included renting a box truck in Medford, Massachusetts, and purchasing supplies at a hardware store before traveling to the warehouse.

According to authorities, five members of the group entered the business. They allegedly threatened an employee with what appeared to be a firearm and restrained the victim before taking merchandise and other goods from the warehouse.

The stolen items were placed in the box truck, which Yu had rented and was driving. Prosecutors said Yu left the warehouse in the truck, while the other co-conspirators departed in a sedan and returned to New York.

The case illustrates how a commercial vehicle rented for a legitimate transportation purpose can be used as part of a broader criminal operation. In this instance, investigators said the truck provided the group with a means to move a large quantity of merchandise away from the warehouse after the robbery.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The information provided by the U.S. Attorney’s Office did not include sentencing dates or details about potential restitution.

Authorities identified Yu as a Chinese national who was living recently in New Jersey and described him as being in the country illegally. Johnson’s residence was not included in the information provided.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation, with assistance from the Londonderry Police Department, New Hampshire State Police, Massachusetts State Police and New York Police Department.

For professional drivers and carriers, the case underscores the importance of maintaining clear rental records and understanding who has access to a vehicle during a rental period. A box truck may be rented for short-term hauling, moving or delivery work, but the vehicle’s movements and users can become central evidence when it is connected to a criminal investigation.

The guilty pleas resolve the defendants’ criminal responsibility for the federal robbery charges, but any prison terms, fines or other penalties will be determined by the court at sentencing.
