**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⚠️ **Flash flooding**
– **Tennessee:** Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect overnight for parts of Middle and East Tennessee. Avoid flooded roads on **I-840 (mile markers 52–73)** and **I-24 (54–76)** near Murfreesboro, Smyrna and La Vergne; and on **I-75 (73–84)** and **I-40 (356–370)** near Oak Ridge, Maryville, Lenoir City and Kingston. Rainfall rates up to 2 inches an hour may flood highways, underpasses and low spots.
– **Arizona:** Flash flooding is possible through 11:45 PM MST around Sierra Vista and Hereford. Avoid water-covered roads on Routes **90, 80, 92 and 83**; 1 to 2 inches of rain has already fallen.
– **Kentucky:** Minor flooding is ongoing or expected through 1 AM EDT in parts of McCreary, Pulaski and Wayne counties, including near Faubush and Nancy. Low-lying roads and poor-drainage areas may be affected.
– **Indiana, Kentucky & Ohio:** A Flood Watch continues through Wednesday evening across southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky and much of southwest/central Ohio. Repeated thunderstorms could cause flash flooding, especially at highway dips, underpasses and low-lying roads.

⛈️ **Severe thunderstorms**
– **South Dakota:** Dangerous storms are crossing central, western and northern parts of the state. A destructive storm near Kadoka and Wanblee has produced **90 mph winds and half-dollar-size hail**, affecting **I-90 between mile markers 132–152**. Other storms near Philip, Kadoka, Murdo and Capa may bring wind gusts up to **70 mph** and large hail, including along **I-90 between mile markers 147–174**. Severe Thunderstorm Watches extend into early Wednesday morning for parts of central, south-central and north-central South Dakota.
– **North Dakota:** Severe storms near Bismarck, Mandan, Braddock and Lake Isabel are moving northeast around 20 mph, with **60 mph winds** and hail up to half-dollar size. Be alert for sudden crosswinds, falling branches and vehicle-damaging hail.
– **Wisconsin:** A severe storm west of Wausau, near Abbotsford, is moving southeast with **60 mph winds**, ping-pong-ball-size hail and torrential rain that could quickly flood roads.
– **Indiana:** A severe storm near Shelbyville, New Palestine and Morristown is moving southeast at 30 mph, with quarter-size hail possible through 12:30 AM EDT.
– **Nebraska:** A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 6 AM CDT/5 AM MDT for north-central Nebraska, including the Valentine, Ainsworth, O’Neill and Bassett areas.

**Driving safety:** Slow down, never drive through standing or moving water, and avoid stopping under trees or overpasses during severe storms. If hail or damaging winds hit, safely pull off the road when possible and seek sturdy shelter.
