**Road-Weather Update: Flooding and severe storms are creating hazardous travel in several regions tonight.**

• **Arizona:** Life-threatening flash flooding has closed **I-10 between exits 17 and 19 in Quartzsite** after 2–4 inches of rain. Flooding also affects low-water crossings near **Rainbow Wash along Old US 80 and Patterson Road** west of Buckeye. Do not drive around barricades or through water-covered roads. Warnings continue until **12:15–12:30 AM MST**. Minor flooding is also possible near the **Highway 21 bridge at Vamori Wash** in southwestern Pima County through **9:45 AM MST Thursday**.

• **South Carolina:** Flash flooding continues east of **I-26** in southeastern Spartanburg and west-central Union counties after widespread 4-inch rainfall. Streams near Dutchmans Creek and the Tyger River may rise quickly through **1:45 AM EDT**. Avoid low-lying roads and underpasses.

• **Nebraska:** A severe thunderstorm with **70 mph wind gusts** is moving east at 15 mph across Cherry County, affecting **Highway 97 between mile markers 83 and 107**, through **12:30 AM CDT**. Expect tree debris and sudden crosswinds. Heavy rain is also causing ponding and minor flooding around **North Platte** through **2:30 AM CDT**.

• **Connecticut/New York:** A severe storm moving east at 40 mph may produce **60 mph wind gusts, penny-size hail, and torrential rain** across central Fairfield County, CT, and northern Westchester, Putnam, and northeastern Orange counties, NY, through **1:15 AM EDT**. Flooding is possible around **Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Norwalk, and Danbury**, with another 1–2 inches of rain possible through **4 AM EDT**.

• **Appalachians:** Flood watches remain in effect through **8 AM EDT** for much of eastern Kentucky, east Tennessee, and southwest Virginia. Creeks, streams, low-water crossings, and other flood-prone roads may become impassable.

• **Montana:** Heavy rain Thursday may trigger flash flooding and debris flows near the **Horse Gulch burn scar/Riverside Campground** and the **Pioneer Mountain Range burn scar**. Avoid roads near burn scars and drainage channels if heavy rain develops.
