**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
🚧 **AZ/NV/CA:** Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing near **Hoover Dam, Nelson and Willow Beach**, with up to **4 inches of rain** reported. Additional flash flooding is affecting western Mohave County, including Dolan Springs and Meadview. Low-water crossings near Searchlight, Nipton and Cima may be impassable. Warnings/advisories run through late evening.
⛈️ **Virginia:** A severe thunderstorm moving south at **20 mph** through Prince George, Sussex and Surry counties may produce **60 mph wind gusts** through **11:45 PM EDT**. Watch for downed trees, power lines and sudden debris on roads near Disputanta and Waverly.
🌊 **Iowa:** River flooding is expected through Monday in southeastern Iowa. Several county roads near **Oakville** are already underwater and closed; water may affect areas near the **U.S. Highway 61 bridge at Wapello**. Moderate flooding is forecast along the English River near Kalona.
🌊 **Indiana/Ohio:** Repeated heavy rain has rivers rising near Bluffton, Linn Grove and Decatur. County-road flooding is expected near Linn Grove, River Road may flood in Bluffton, and water could cross **Ohio Highway 49 north of Willshire** Sunday.
🌧️ **Missouri/Illinois:** Heavy thunderstorms may bring flash flooding overnight through Saturday morning. Northern Missouri could see **1–2 inches** of rain, locally **2–4 inches**, with rates up to **2 inches per hour**. Central, eastern and west-central Illinois has already received **3–5 inches**, with another **1–3 inches** possible.
🚧 **Colorado/Nebraska:** Heavy rain is causing localized flooding on rural roads and low spots in central Elbert County, near Yuma, Akron and Lisco. Central Elbert County has received **3–5 inches** of rain; avoid normally dry washes, small-stream crossings and flooded country roads.
**Driving safety:** Never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads—turn around, don’t drown. Slow down in heavy rain, leave extra following distance, and watch for downed trees or debris after storms.
