**Road-Weather Update: Flooding and damaging storms are creating hazardous travel conditions in several states overnight.**

• **Philadelphia metro / South Jersey / southeast Pennsylvania:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected through **3:30 AM EDT**. Watch for water-covered roads and underpasses on **I-295, I-476, I-76, I-95 and I-676**, plus the New Jersey and Pennsylvania turnpikes. Another 0.5–1 inch of rain is possible in parts of the area.

• **Eastern Kentucky:** Flash flooding is occurring in parts of Breathitt, Knott and Floyd counties, including near **Hindman, Estill, Pippa Passes, Wayland and Jackson**. Reports include flooding along **Wiley Fork Road** after 1–2.25 inches of rain, with localized totals up to 3.5 inches elsewhere. Avoid low-water crossings, streets and underpasses.

• **West Virginia:** Flash and small-stream flooding is affecting central and northern parts of the state. **I-79 between mile markers 77 and 90** and **Route 50 between mile markers 53 and 60** may be impacted. Flood warnings remain in effect into early morning, with 1–2 inches of rain reported in some areas.

• **Central North Carolina:** Severe thunderstorms moving east at **25 mph** may produce **60 mph wind gusts** through **1:30 AM EDT** around Greensboro, High Point, Lexington and Thomasville. Use caution on **I-85, I-40, I-73 and I-74** for fallen trees, debris and sudden wind gusts.

• **Southeastern Ohio:** Small-stream flooding is possible through **5 AM EDT** in Perry County, including New Lexington, Somerset, Crooksville and Thornville. An additional 1–1.5 inches of rain is possible.

• **South-central Illinois:** Heavy rain may cause minor flooding around **Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Tamaroa, Nashville and Ashley** through early morning. Some areas could receive another 1–2 inches of rain.

Never drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown. Slow down in heavy rain, leave extra following distance, and avoid roads with standing water or storm debris.
