**Road-Weather Update**
**North Carolina:** Severe thunderstorms near Raleigh, Garner, Clayton and Zebulon are moving east at 20 mph through 2:15 PM EDT. Expect wind gusts up to 60 mph, torrential rain and possible flash flooding—especially on **I-40, I-440, I-540 and NC 264**. Slow down, avoid downed trees or debris, and never drive through flooded roads.
**Ohio, West Virginia & western Pennsylvania:** Flooding is ongoing after 1 to 5 inches of rain. Numerous roads are closed or flooded around Wheeling, Moundsville, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville, Bellaire, Zanesville, Cambridge, Greensburg and Latrobe. Flood warnings generally run through late afternoon; central Fairfield/southern Licking County, including **SR-158 and SR-204**, remains under a warning until 7:30 PM EDT. Turn around—don’t drown.
**Northern Mariana Islands:** A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Tinian and Saipan. Tropical Storm Saudel is forecast to intensify, with tropical-storm-force winds possible within 48 hours, damaging winds potentially beginning early Saturday, heavy rain, coastal flooding and dangerous surf. Avoid coastal and flood-prone routes as conditions deteriorate.
