**Road-Weather Update:**
⚠️ **Alabama:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected in Blount County, including Oneonta, Blountsville, Cleveland, Locust Fork and Snead, through **5 AM CDT**. Another flooding alert covers the Huntsville–Decatur–Athens area; **Church Street in Decatur is impassable due to high water.** Avoid flooded streets, underpasses and low-water crossings—turn around, don’t drown.
⛈️ **North Mississippi:** Severe thunderstorms are moving southeast at up to **40 mph** through the Oxford, Batesville and Water Valley areas, including **I-55 between mile markers 215 and 249**, through **3 AM CDT**. Expect wind gusts up to **60 mph** and quarter-size hail. Slow down, watch for fallen trees or debris, and avoid stopping beneath trees.
🌧️ **Long Island, New York:** Heavy rain may cause ponding and minor flooding around Riverhead, Shirley, Manorville, Patchogue and Center Moriches through **5:30 AM EDT**. An additional **1–2 inches** of rain is possible. Avoid water-covered roads.
