**Tornado potential:** A tornado watch remains in effect in **Jo Daviess County, Illinois**, where severe storms near Stockton, Elizabeth, and Woodbine can produce 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail. If a tornado is spotted, seek sturdy shelter immediately.
**Carolinas:**
• **North Carolina:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected west-central Columbus County, including Whiteville and Chadbourn, after 2.5–4.5 inches of rain; another 1–2 inches is possible through 9:15 PM EDT. Severe storms with winds up to 70 mph are affecting the Raleigh-Durham area—including I-85, I-40, I-440, I-540 and US-1—and the Sanford/Pinehurst area along US-1 through 7:15 PM EDT. Flooding is also possible in Wilmington and Asheville, especially at underpasses, low-water crossings, and poor-drainage roads.
• **South Carolina:** Severe storms with 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail are affecting the I-26/I-95 corridor near Summerton, Manning, Turbeville, and Santee. Heavy rain may put water over roads on I-95 and I-26 through 10 PM EDT.
**Alabama/Mississippi:** Flash flooding from thunderstorms is affecting the Dothan, Headland, Taylor, Midland City, and Kinsey areas through 8:30 PM CDT. Avoid flooded streets, underpasses, and low-lying routes. Severe storms with 60 mph winds are also affecting southeastern Alabama and near Lucedale, Mississippi.
**Florida and Georgia:** Damaging 60 mph winds and hail are possible near Palm Bay, Melbourne, Satellite Beach, Malabar, and Indialantic, Florida, through 7:45 PM EDT. Severe storms near Thomaston, Manchester, and Woodland, Georgia, may bring 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail through 7:15 PM EDT.
**Midwest:** Severe thunderstorms capable of 60 mph winds and large hail are affecting parts of Illinois, Iowa, and the Kansas City metro. Use extra caution on **I-49 between Overland Park/Leawood and Belton/Raymore**, where a 64 mph gust was reported. In Louisiana, 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail are possible along **I-10 between mile markers 127 and 143** near Maringouin and Grosse Tete.
**Ohio:** Flooding is affecting roads near Macksburg and Lower Salem along Duck Creek through 1 AM EDT Saturday. Minor river flooding is occurring at Cambridge, where water may cover Wills Creek Valley Road. Heavy-rain flooding is also possible in parts of Darke, Miami, and Shelby counties.
**High Plains/Southwest:** Severe storms with 60 mph winds and large hail are affecting rural eastern Colorado, southwest South Dakota, and near Chadron, Nebraska. In New Mexico, heavy rain is causing arroyo and small-stream flooding south of Mount Taylor and along/near **US-60 between Magdalena and Socorro**.
