🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

⛈️ **Immediate severe storms:**
• **Alabama:** Flash flooding is ongoing near Ashford, Cowarts, Webb, Barber and Pearce after 2–5 inches of rain. Streets, highways, underpasses and low-lying areas may be flooded through 8:30 PM CDT. Severe storms near Thomasville, Camden and Pine Hill may bring 60 mph winds and nickel-size hail through 8:30 PM CDT.
• **South Carolina:** A severe storm south of Greenville is moving south at 15 mph, threatening Mauldin, Simpsonville, Five Forks and Woodruff with 60 mph wind gusts through 9:15 PM EDT.
• **Louisiana:** Severe storms moving south at 10–20 mph across the Lafayette–Crowley–New Iberia–Abbeville area may produce 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail through 8:30 PM CDT. A 57 mph gust was recently recorded at Lafayette Regional Airport.
• **Nebraska/Wyoming:** Panhandle and southeast Wyoming storms near Torrington, Lingle and Fort Laramie may bring 60 mph winds and half-dollar-size hail; Hwy 85 at Dry Rawhide Creek is included. Other storms near Bayard and McGrew may produce ping-pong-ball-size hail and 60 mph winds.
• **Eastern Colorado:** Southwestern Cheyenne County, including near Wild Horse and Aroya, faces 60 mph winds, ping-pong-ball-size hail and torrential rain that could flood roads.

🌊 **Indiana/Illinois river flooding:**
Flooding along the White and Wabash rivers is affecting travel from Lafayette and Covington through Montezuma, Terre Haute, Vincennes and Mount Carmel. Moderate flooding is occurring near Montezuma and Terre Haute, where some local roads are impassable. Watch for closures and high water near **US-136**, **SR-358 between SR-67 and SR-57**, and **SR-157 between Worthington and Bloomfield**. Additional White River flooding affects Elliston, Newberry, Petersburg, Hazleton, Spencer and Seymour; several warnings extend into next week.

⛈️ **Eastern Iowa/Northwest Illinois:** A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 10 PM CDT for the Davenport, Clinton, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, Freeport and Galena areas. In southwest La Salle County, Illinois, heavy rain rates up to 2 inches per hour could flood roads near Tonica, Lostant and Cedar Point through midnight CDT.

🌧️ **Hawaii:** Tropical Storm Moke may bring 5–10 inches of rain, locally up to 15 inches, to the windward and southeast Big Island from late Saturday night through Monday afternoon. Flood-prone roads and low-lying routes could close quickly.

**Driving safety:** Slow down in heavy rain, avoid stopping under trees or power lines during severe winds, and never drive around barricades or through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown. Check local conditions before traveling.
