⚠️ **Montana & South Dakota:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting northeastern Montana and northwest South Dakota this evening. Near Winnett, MT, winds up to **70 mph** are possible as storms move east at **50 mph** through 8:30 PM MDT. Around Sorum, Reva, and Date, SD, storms moving southeast at **25 mph** may produce **60 mph gusts and quarter-size hail** through 8:30–8:45 PM MDT. Expect sudden crosswinds, falling trees, and hail damage—delay travel or pull over safely away from trees if conditions worsen. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for parts of western SD and southwest/south-central ND through 10 PM local time.
🌧️ **Indiana & Illinois:** Ongoing minor flooding along the White and Wabash Rivers is closing or threatening low-lying roads. In Indiana, **SR-57**, State Road 358 between Plainville and Edwardsport, and numerous county roads near Petersburg may be affected. Flooding is also reported or forecast near Terre Haute, Montezuma, Vincennes, Riverton, Hutsonville, Mount Carmel, and Hazleton, with some warnings continuing into Friday or Saturday. Never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads.
🌊 **Central Illinois:** Minor flooding continues along the Illinois River near **Havana** and **Beardstown**, with warnings lasting into Friday and Sunday, respectively. Watch for flooding on lowland and nearby roads.
🌧️ **Hawaii—Big Island:** A Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday afternoon as moisture from Tropical Storm Moke brings periods of heavy rain. An additional **3 to 6 inches** is possible on windward and southeast slopes. Flood-prone and low-lying roads may close quickly due to runoff and overflowing streams—avoid driving through flooded areas.
